Course Times: Tuesdays from 1:15 PM to 3:15 PM

Your style on the trail: functionality and comfort come first! Breathable clothing, a warm hat or headband, thin gloves, sunscreen, and a good sports pair of glasses are just as essential as comfortable cross-country skiing boots. Everything you need can be found at the sports shop Jug Sports Arlberg right next to the ski school office.



Preparations for the Cross-Country Skiing Course

  • The right cross-country skis: The optimal length of your cross-country skis depends on the technique you use and your experience level. For the classic style, we usually recommend a ski length of about your height plus 20 to 30 cm. For the skating style, the skis are a bit shorter – the recommendation here is height plus 5 to 15 cm. Additionally, your body weight plays an important role, as heavier skiers often choose slightly longer skis to ensure appropriate stability and control.
  • The optimal poles for cross-country skiing: The correct length of your cross-country poles depends on the skiing technique and your height. For the classic style, we recommend a pole length of about 83 to 85% of your height. For the skating style, the poles are a bit longer – the recommendation here is...

Classification Levels for Cross-Country Skiing Course

  • L1 Beginner: You are on the cross-country ski trail for the first time. Here, we will gain initial movement experiences in cross-country skiing and learn the basic techniques for beginners.
  • L2 Light Intermediate (easy/blue): You have already been on the cross-country ski trail. Here, we will reinforce the techniques for beginners.
  • L3 Intermediate (medium/red): Expand your cross-country skiing technique and explore advanced techniques in cross-country skiing.
  • L4 Expert (difficult/black): Take your cross-country skiing skills to a new level and optimize your speed, endurance, and technical perfection.

Under professional and safe guidance, you will explore the most beautiful freeride slopes.
